BLACK BOX is the finale of the «1.1 PENDING STORAGE SOLUTION» exhibition, set within a Flexbox storage room near the airport, aligning with the take-off runway. This setting, symbolic of transit and temporary storage, enriches the performance, which captures the performer and the artworks live. The footage is projected onto a plexiglass sheet in the hallway, linking the exhibition space with the audience and echoing the displayed works, such as Marie Mottaz’s reflective painting and Mélusine Wagner’s immersive video game.

The strategic location enhances the themes of transition and temporality, mirroring port francs’ liminal status. This backdrop underscores the artworks’ transient nature and the fleeting experience of viewing art, inviting deeper reflection on the spaces art occupies and the dynamic of movement and stasis in modern life.

BLACK BOX not only marks the exhibition’s conclusion but also transforms the storage space into a conceptual and physical site of reflection, where the echoes of nearby aircraft underscore the ongoing flux of ideas.
