BLEU EAU BLEU O S
Interactive installation: 2 generative videos (Java programming)
Text generator (program Max7)
3 TVs of varying sizes
«BLEU EAU BLEU O S» is an immersive interactive installation
that explores the boundaries between virtual spaces and
artificial life forms. The installation comprises a triptych of videos
displayed on three televisions of varying sizes, creating a dynamic
visual array that engages viewers in a digital landscape.
The video on the left features a computer-generated simulation
of ocean behavior, capturing the fluid and ever-changing nature
of water. The right screen presents this same simulation from
an aerial perspective, transforming the ocean’s movements into
a slowly undulating grid, abstracting natural phenomena into
geometric forms. At the center, a text generator programmed
with a predefined database crafts narratives that are randomly
broadcast by an off-stage voice, spoken in the first person
singular. These narratives introduce a layer of contemplative
dialogue, reflecting on the potentialities of imagined spaces and
forms of life.
This tripartite arrangement invites viewers to navigate a
relationship between the digital representations and the
narratives generated, fostering a dialogue that blurs the line
between reality and simulation. The installation not only simulates
natural processes but also prompts viewers to consider the
artificial nature of digital ecosystems and the potential for these
technologies to generate new forms of life and perception.
